Can you see the stencil I used with the embossing paste on this card? I thought it would be fun to try using the dragonflies. Here are the steps I used to make my stencil.
1. Use a piece of window sheet. It is stiff enough to make a stencil.
2. Cut out your desired stencil. At first I looked at what was left over when I cut out the strips of dragonflies and it was too open for what I wanted to use. Then, I looked at the strip and decided to try to put the paste over them.
3. I mixed the paste with the new Tranquil Tide in-color ink. I knew when I applied the paste that it would go beyond the edges of the stencil, so I did it intentionally. I moved the stencil to two different spots on the card stock. Then I filled in open areas with splotches of the paste. I loved the end results. And what better saying to put on this card than one about friends.
I hope you have had fun looking at these cards and are kind of excited about trying out the paste on your own. Don't work with a demonstrator already, then order from me from the link at the top of the page.
Next week, I will for sure show off the cards you will be able to make at my New Catalog Premier. Have a great week, and have fun stamping.

Embossing Paste- Medallion Stencil
The medallion stencil is too big for a basic card. I decided to center it and see what happened. I liked the look. In addition when I mixed the re-inker in the paste I left streaks of unmixed color so I could have different shades on my finished card. Not sure how well it shows up but there light and darker spots.
This card really did not need much more than the stenciled image so I found a small saying I could put inside a silver doily. The saying is from the set called Label me Pretty. I used Basic Grey ink to coordinate with the Smoky Slate card stock.
Come back tomorrow to see a card I made with my own stencil. That was so much fun that I plan to create several more original stencils in the future.

Embossing Paste-Wood Words Bundle
As soon as I created the brick wall, I knew I wanted to place a crate of flowers in front. I did not want an entire crate so I just cut out a part of the crate using some Wood Textures designer paper. Love the wooden look of these papers.
To create my brick look, I added Cajun Craze re-inker to the white paste. I did not try and put paste all over the front of the card. I really like the partial pasted look.
For the flowers since some of them are solid I decided to stamp in Cajun Craze ink also. I had tried black ink, but that made some of the flowers be black and that I did not want. I was happy with this result.
Come back tomorrow to see how I used Cajun Craze re-inker in a different way with the medallion stencil.

Embossing Paste-Beautiful You stamp set
Do you feel like dancing when the sun is out and the clouds are filling the sky and the temperature is mild? Well, I do and last weekend in Illinois was definitely dancing weather.
The cloud stencil was fun to use. When I looked at the clouds and was trying to figure out what stamp set to use with this card stock, I knew that the girl in Beautiful You was perfect. For her hat, dress and puddle, I used a piece of the new Color Theory designer paper. I think you can see the variety in the items I paper pieced. I for one was so happy that this stamp set made it into our new catalog. How about you?
Come back tomorrow to see a card I made with the brick wall stencil after adding some re-inker to the paste. I used part of the thinlit that goes with the Wood Words stamp set to create a crate.

Embossing Paste-Garden in Bloom stamp set
I had a downline meeting on Friday and we played with the new embossing paste. So this week instead of the cards for my in-color class, I am featuring cards I made with the new embossing paste. It is so much fun and easy to use.
This card used the stencil that has small little diamonds on it. I used the paste all by itself without adding any color.
The paste was put on the new in-color, powder pink card stock. so, for my flowers I decided to use each one of the pinks we now have in our color families. ( Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and the new Powder Pink.)Start on the bottom left and then the bottom right and finally the top to see the color differences. I can see a difference can you.
I featured the stamp set Garden in Bloom, and old favorite that is still in the catalog and one I have not used for quite a while.
Come back tomorrow to see a card I made with the cloud stencil and the Beautiful You stamp set.

Fresh Fig-Happy Birthday thinlit
I love this Happy Birthday thinlit. It is stylish, fills up the card front and says it all. It looks pretty hard to attach to a card front without making a mess don't you think? Well, Stampin'Up! brought back their Multipurpose Adhesive sheets to help with that problem. And being a person that has a hard time throwing out things I might be able to use someday, I had some that I kept.
1. First you cut a piece of the adhesive sheet the size you need.
2. Next peel off one side of the sheet and attach it to a piece of card stock that is just a tiny bit bigger.
3. Cut the design you want on the big shot making sure the adhesive side is down.
4. Peel off the other side of the adhesive sheet and your design now has adhesive all over it and will stick easily to your project.
If you have not stored any for these past few years, then order some and you will love using them.
What a fun in-color week this has been. Come back on Monday to see samples of what people will be able to make at my new catalog Premier to be held also in July.

Lemon-Lime Twist-Crafting Forever stamp set
When I saw this stamp set I thought it spoke to me and a lot of the people who come to my classes. And when I saw this color, Lemon-Lime Twist I immediately felt it was my favorite. So, why not make a card and put them together.
When I get a new package of Baker's Twine I hate to use it because of the kinks that are in the twine. So, the first thing I do is to wind the twine around a clothes pin that looks exactly like this stamp. When it is time to use the twine there are no more kinks.

Daisy Twist and Pop card
Aren't these daisies cute? And the sparkle in the center are the new Clear Faceted Gems. This is the front of the card Dina and I made together last Sunday. The colors of the daisies are two of the new in-colors, Lemon-Lime Twist (my favorite) and Tranquil Tide.
You may be thinking so what is so special about this card. Look what happens when you lift up the top layer......
The inside of the card twists and pops as you open it up. This is simple, but the message is quite clear and bold. Happy Birthday. Who wouldn't like to get a card like this.
I hope these cards have made you drool a little about some items in the new catalog. Come back next week to see what cards I am making with each one of the new in-colors for my In-Color card class to be held in July.

Birthday Memories designer paper
Isn't this fox cute? Well he is not a stamped image. Instead he is part of the designer paper called Birthday Memories. The matching thinlits can cut out the fox, the banner, the cake and some balloons from the paper. In addition there are several more images that can be cut out from the matching stamp set.
This card was one of our make n takes at On Stage in April.
Come back tomorrow to see a twist and pop card I made with my friend Dina on a get a way we had last weekend.

Eastern Palace thinlits
Did you realize these two cards are made with the same thinlit? I have made lots of cards creating a medallion look with the thinlits, but saw something on Pinterest that made me want to try and turn the thinlit into a Sun Flower. We created sun flower cards at my last Super Snails meeting. What can you think of to make with these thinlits that is thinking outside the box?
Come back tomorrow to see a card we made at On Stage using the Birthday Memories designer paper.

Oh So Eclectic stamp set
Don't you think the stamped images on this card look like they are actually a piece of designer paper. Well, they are some of the stamps that are included in the Oh So Eclectic stamps set found on page 133 of our new catalog. Robin made the card and made me fall in love with the colors and the stamp set.

This Little Piggy
This little pig makes me happy, how about you? This card was created as a swap from my friend Susan, and I love it. At the most recent On Stage, a gathering in Minneapolis for demonstrators, every person there received this stamp set as a gift. I am going to have so much fun playing with this set. Look for it as a stamp set of the week soon.

New catalog thinlit-Happy Birthday
Doesn't this Happy Birthday look stunning? This was another make n take from the last Butterfly Friends meeting, How did we get the shiny effect on the words.
1. First we took a Versamark pad, and a post it note.
2. We placed the note halfway over each word and Versamark what was left.
3. After removing the post it note we embossed the word with silver embossing powder. It was a really great technique I know I will duplicate.
The stamps on the rest of the card are from the new set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous which is meant to coordinate with the Happy Birthday Thinlit.
And do you see the two new Clear Faceted Gems at the bottom of the card. So many goodies to play with.
Have a great time this weekend making up your wish list. Come back Monday to get a look at my swap cards I received at the last On Stage and Butterfly Friends meeting I attended.
