Snowflake Sentiments-Gift cards

Wouldn't these made great gift cards on your packages/

Background is a 2 3/4 inch square of Christmas Quilt designer paper.

The center is also from the same designer paper, just using the alternate side of the paper.

There is a small snowflake in the center and a white perfect accent in the center.

I used the wood crate framelit to make the box holding the gift cards.  You might be curious about the paper that the crate was made from.  I made my own, by stamping the snowflake images on a piece of whisper white card stock before cutting out the crate.

The tag on the front of the crate is another framelit that is part of the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle.

Jody's Ornament

    I have really enjoyed looking at my Christmas decorations this year.  This was an ornament that Jody, one of my downline made and I received in our Christmas ornament exchange.  Soon it will be time to put the decorations away till next year.  I will enjoy putting it out in a years time and thinking about Jody when I do.

Winter Wonderland Ornament and Wreath

     I found some directions online to make an ornament called 3-D snowflake.  The first one I made I used 6 inch squares and the Winter Wonderland designer paper.  I thought the end result was beautiful and have it hanging in my stamping classroom as a wreath.
    Since that was so easy and so pretty, I decided to see what would happen with a 3 inch square and created an ornament.  I am usually quite traditional with my Christmas colors, but decided that I love this black white and gold paper.

 

   I have had a lot of fun adding these to Christmas packages.  HMMMM I wonder what they will look like in spring colors.

December Framed Art

    So when it came to making the framed art for December I had the same problem as I did for October.  All the parts from last year's frame were retired items.  I decided to keep some of the parts that I liked for this year's frame.

   Can you see what I kept the same?  I used some retired Coredination paper for the Early Espresso background, and liked the look of the swirl from the stamp set Everything Eleanor but changed up lots of other components.

I used the filigree ornaments from the new Holiday Catalog called Delicate Ornament Thinlits.  These were so easy to cut out using the new Precision Base Plate. Since the ornaments were so big and so striking when I backed them with white cardstock, I decided this frame did not need much else.  I wanted the ornaments to be the part of the frame that you would notice.

I wonder how many more months this year will need a redo. 

Anything But a Card-Wednesday Wow

     Here it is Wednesday already.  Where does the time go?  This week I am a stamping nurse.  My husband had cataract surgery on Monday and I have to put drops in his eyes and keep him from doing too much.  He is a very active person and when he is not busy he reads.  Well, he can't do either of those things yet but I can't convince him maybe he could cut card stock and help me out. 

    My class last weekend was called Anything But a Card and featured items you could make as small Christmas gifts for others.  Each person that came could pick out one of the 3-D stars featured in the Many Merry Stars kit.  I have to admit that I purchased the kit with the intentions of having a class and time slipped by and that did not happen.

   My downline came last night to our Christmas party and we each made one of these stars.  They are much easier to put together than I thought they would be and fun to display for the holidays.
