Rommate Gifts-Super Snails
At convention you often make gifts for each of your roommates a tradition I enjoy. Linda presented me with this cute little box. I love the owl just looking down at me.
When I opened up the box there was a cute sewing kit inside. Now, that is something handy to have with me whenever I go out of town.
But that was not all that Linda gave us....
She found these cute boxes and had them loaded with goodies. No point in opening it up for you since all the goodies are gone! Thanks Linda!

Wednesday Wow- Ink Pad Pizazz Technique
| I used the Wetlands stamp set to make this scene. |
One of my favorite presenters at Convention was Michelle Zindorf. She showed us how she created her scenes in a simple manner using ink pads.
1. Start with a light sky color, I used Soft Sky. Placing your ink pad at about a 45 degree angle to the paper brush it across your paper. It will leave an uneven streak of color. Do this until you like the look.
2. Next take a darker color you would like in your sky. I used Marina Mist. Use the same process with this color on top of your first color.
3. Next choose 2 colors for your grassy area. Starting with the light color first and overlapping your sky area a tiny bit, color the grass. When you use the darker color start it in front of the light color to create a look of distance.
4. Using an mask, make an image with your stamp on the side of your paper. The final image will be made once you have moved the mask off the page.
| I had such fun making these scenes. This card uses the set The Open Sea and shows rolling waves at sunset. |

Goodie Bags for Butterfly Friends
About 13 people from my upline's group called The Butterfly Friends are going to be at convention. I wanted to be able to give each one something simple so I ordered the Tag a Bag Gift Bags and the Tag a Bag Accessory kit and made up these bags for those attending. What do you think is inside each bag? Email me your answer and I will let you know if you are correct or not.
All the bags ready to be packed in my suitcase for the flight to Salt Lake City. Watch for future postings about the convention.

Gifts for My Roommates
I have made some gifts for my roommates, kind of a tradition stampers have been doing for years. The outside of the folder looks like this picture.
When you open up the folder this is what you see. The two pockets on the left side can hold stamps, credit card, business cards, receipts, the center portion opens up and there is a pen that has the same Designer paper inside to help it match.
When you open up the inside you find a little notebook that can be used for whatever you want. The entire folder can fit in your purse or carry-on luggage. A item to have on hand when taking a trip. I hope they like this gift. contact me if you would like the directions to make a gift like this of your own.

Look What Came in the Mail!
One of my favorite things about being a StampinUp demonstrator is attending the Annual convention in Salt Lake city. It is one of the most positive experiences I have had. So yesterday I was so excited when I checked out the mail to see an envelope with my name tag which is the one thing you have to have in order to get into the convention. This afternoon I will be making my swaps and will share them with you the rest of this week.
The countdown begins......
