Step it Up Thursday-Simply Succulent

This week's template easy and fun.

Here is the simple card that I made on Monday.

Check out how I stepped it up.

1. I added some designer paper as a background.

2. I added a second smaller strip on top of the first strip.

3. I popped up my saying with dimensionals and added a flower decoration.

I stepped the card up even more with my third card.

1. I cut out a background from the designer paper and used that as my backround.

2. I added my 2 strips on top of the stencil.

3. I created a center piece using a punch, and several dies from the bundle.

Which one of these cards is your favorite?  Leave me a comment on this page and I will send it to you.

What is it Wednesday-Using the Simply Succulent Die

Checkout this great die from the Simply Succulent bundle.  It makes a great stencil.  I tried several different ways to make a stenciled impression after cutting the die out of Basic White card stock.

Technique One

Technique Two

Technique Three I used the embossing paste on Basic Black card stock

I colored the embossing paste with Soft Succulent reinker and used Basic White as the background.

I cut out the stencil from 3 different colors and saved the pieces on a piece of Press and Seal  Then I placed them in their spot on the stencil.  The best way to do this would be to cut everything out with adhesive sheets on the back of the card stock.

Product List

That was so much fun.  I hope that you will try one of these techniques with a fun detailed stencil.

Come back tomorrow to see how I step up the card I made on Monday.

Put it together Friday-Faux Quilting card #59

Today is the day to put together the card supplies you cut out on Tuesday.

Here is the one I put together in the video I have posted below.  It sure was a lot of fun to put together and a great way to use up my 1 inch strips of designer paper.

Have you tried to make one yet?  If not check out the video and make your card then post it in the comment below or on my Face book page called Stampin with Sushi.  I have a posting where you can share your photos with those who look.

I have been using the same stamp set and dies all this week and have had great fun doing so.  Next week I will be focusing on the bundle called Simply Succulents.  You might see some of the same designer paper, but very different stamp sets.  Hope you will join me next week for some new ideas.

Hope this video inspires you to make a faux quilting card.

Monday, come back for a simple card made from a template.
