Last Chance cards-Fresh Fruit

  Where is the fruit you might wonder? The great thing about this stamp set was that there were many more images other than fruit in the set.  And like a lot of stamp sets in the Stampin'Up! catalogs, this set coordinated with some great designer paper.  You can see a little bit of the paper in the banners.

Fresh Fruit is a set that I used a lot in the spring and summer.  It was fun to get it out and use it again for one last chance.

Fresh Fruit-Fix It Friday

 Oops, I never finished my post for today.  So this card should look familiar.  It was one of the templates from yesterday.  How to fix it up a little?.......

1. Use a different background paper

2. Change a standard fold to a Gate fold

3. Add some linen thread

4. Stamp a saying on the inside

5. Finally use some designer paper to make it look like washi tape.

This last card was another card we made and the Vacation Stampin School in Champaign.  I love how different the look can be when you change up little things.

Fresh Fruit-Template Thursday

  Doesn't this look like it would be easy to reproduce?

 Basic card stock color
 Black card stock
 Designer paper
 Baker's Twine
 Saying
 Isolated image

 There was no lemon stamp so, I used the flower and then stamped the circle outline over it in Daffodil Delight.  I then colored the spaces using So Saffron in in hopes that the lines of the flower would show through.

Fresh Fruit-Wednesday Wow

   Isn't this a WOW card?  Another card we made in Champaign.  

1. I like the fact it is in a glassine gift and you can see the card that is inside.

2. I love the arrangement of elements that are clipped onto the bag.

3. And I love the card that is on the inside.

 The strawberries and flowers were stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock but look like they could be designer paper.  That makes this stamp set so versatile.

Fresh Fruit-Technique Tuesday

   This pear looks good enough to eat.  It uses the double rock and roll technique.

1. Ink the stamp using Pear Pizzazz and then stamp off on scrap paper before stamping on the card.

2. Ink the stamp a second time using the Pear Pizzazz full strength by rolling the edges of the stamp into the same color ink. 

3.  Since this is a photo polymer stamp set you can look through the stamp and stamp it on top of the first image.  When you look at the stamped image the rock and rolling makes some great shading on the final image.

4. The background is made using the clear Wink of Stella mixed with a little bit of Daffodil Delight ink.

This simple but fun technique can be used on solid stamps to give a 3-D look.

Fresh Fruit-Miscellaneous Monday

    I made this card a couple of weekends ago when I went to Champaign to Vacation Stamping School sponsored by the Impeckable Stampers.  The set is called Fresh Fruit, but has some great flowers in the set also.
