Make it Simple Monday-using Pansy Petal Suite and a template

A new week and a new template.  A simple card is a great way to start off the week.

 

                                               

   

The great thing about a template is that is can start your creative juices flowing.  Today's template made me think of 9 shapes organized in rows. 

The next thing I thought of was what to put in place of the shapes and I decided designer paper would be a great thing to put into 9 shapes.  It would be a great way to show off the Pansy Petal designer paper, many designs at once.

Finally, I decided I wanted my shapes to be squares so I could put the saying at the bottom.  I also wanted to place one of the cut out pansies in the center.  That is how my mind worked with this week's template.

Here are the basics of this template that could easily be repeated with each stamp in any stamp set.

1. White card base with embossed  Daffodil delight layer.

2. Night of Navy lots of layers accent piece.

3. Layered Ovals Daffodil and Whisper White shapes.

5. Night of Navy gingham checked ribbon.

Same Template New Design-Wednesday Wow

  
    I had my card already to post yesterday and guess what happened.  My computer did not cooperate so I could not post.  So, finally things are in working order today. (Actually it was my wireless mouse that would not cooperate and I found out later.....I had placed the new battery in the wrong way.  It is hard some days to be older.)

     I used the design from Monday to create this new card.  See if you can see the changes.  (Doesn't this remind you of the pages you did as a kid where you had to find what was different in each picture?)

1. Background stamp is changed to one from Work of Art.

2. Stamps used are from Freaky Friends, Holiday Invitation, and Good Greetings.

3. Washi tape has been changed to rolls from Epic Day and All is Calm (Holiday Catalog).

3. Mini Clothespin has been used instead of button and linen thread.

  I am on a roll, look for a Christmas card soon using this same template. What card could you make using this template?

1 Template, 2 Different Looks

     Sometimes I am just not too sure what kind of card I want to make so I look at previously made cards that I really liked.  I knew I wanted to make a card using Washi Tape, so I looked at the samples from my Washi Tape class.   

    The card on the left was the one from the class, the card on the right is my different look.  Can you see what I changed?

1.  The Honeycomb embossing folder looked to busy for the new card so I just used the Polka dot folder.

2, I changed up the colors of the card to match the Gingham Garden Washi Tape.

3. I used two flower punches instead of the banner

4.  The saying is from the new hostess set called Express Yourself.

     Now, I have two different looks from the same template.  What look can you make from this template?
