Blended Season bundle-Plastic Sleeve Watercolor

We are having wonderful weather here in Illinois and believe me when I say I am treasuring every minute.  Usually the temp is in the 90's with high humidity but this week, the temp is in the mid 80's with much lower humidity. Love it!

When I went to the Artisan Blog hop, one of the featured Artisan's work just jumped out at me as so different and stunning.  I will post a link to her page. Just click on the word link and you can see her creations.

 Underneath what she wrote in her post, is a translation of her words.  It helped me figure out what to do.  
Watercolor paper is the best thing to use to place the water color on.
I used a plastic sleeve for a ring binder to put my ink on. I cut it into 4ths to make it about the size of the card stock I was using.

 It is really helpful to watch her video and she did a great job.  It seemed like she was worried about her English, but I had no trouble at all understanding what she said.

Bubble Over Bundle-Brusho Background

 Have you tried Brusho yet?  I admit I was a little nervous that I would be able to do a good job with it when I sat down.

1. I used an aqua painter to make an area on the water color paper very wet.

2. I poked 3 small holes in the top of the Brusho container.  I knew not to open the lid.  It was amazing to me how easy it was to shake just a little bit of Brusho and how it spread all over the wet area.  I like the variety in the color.

3. I did not want to have to wait a long time to have this dry, so I used my heat tool to dry the paper.  I was pleased because using the heat tool did not affect the color.

Dragonfly Dreams-Fab Friday

   What fun I have had this week.  I checked out a number of Challenge blogs and decided to go along with the Fab Friday challenge.







I liked the color combinations and thought they would work well with my Dragonfly Dreams week. Here are the steps I took to make this card.




1. I made my 3 layers coordinate with the 3 colors of the challenge.

2. I embossed the Sugarplum layer with the new Falling Petals embossing folder.

3. I scribbled Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum markers onto the back of an acrylic block, spritzed the block with water, then stamped it on some water color paper.

4. Next, I took an Aqua Painter and used some Sugarplum ink, tapped the painter on my finger and made some dots of color on the water color paper.

4. Finally, I cut out the dragonfly out of Very Vanilla and Soft Sky cardstock, applied it to the card, then glitzed it up with Clear Wink of Stella.

5. The saying is from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set.

This might be my favorite card from this Dragonfly Dreams week.  Come back next week for Scrapbook Layout week.    

OnStage 2016 swap

 Did you go WOW when you saw this card like I did?  The stamper that created this card for the shoe box swap was not feeling well, so I did not get to meet her, but wow she created an awesome card.

1. She used Watercolor paper, and probably an aqua painter and painted the leaves.  These were precut for us when we were going to make the card.

2. Once again the Cable Knit embossing folder was used.  She also spritzed all over the white embossed paper with Garden Green ink.  It has a awesome splotchy look.

3. The saying just pulls this entire card together.  I loved looking at it and making it.
