Magical Day-Template Thursday

I love a fast an easy card that I can use several stamps or images on.  Today's cards are exactly that.

1. I created a background by using an aqua painter in a puddle of ink and swirling it back and forth.

2. I then used that same ink to stamp some stars for the background.

3. Next, I placed a piece of the Myths and Magic Specialty Washi tape towards the bottom of the card.

4. I cut some of the cute designs from the Myths and Magic designer series paper. I didn't mind the cutting.  There is something about cutting that relaxes me.

5. Finally, I stamped the saying You are One of a Kind from the Magical Day stamp set.  I stamped the You Are and the Of A kind twice and popped it up with mini stampin dimensionals.  Those tiny little dimensionals fit in the spaces that are too small for our regular dimensionals.

I got 3 cute cards with minimal work because they all used the same items and the process was the same.

Tomorrow I will share with you a fun card that I made for my granddaughter's 10th birthday.  I can't wait to hear her reaction, and yours too.  Don't forget to leave a comment on my blog and I will send you one of the cards of the week.

Magical Day-Wednesday WOW

What could be more magical than a wizard? I saw a similar card on Pinterest and found it easy to duplicate.  The most detailed part was the background and that was so easy using our new Brusho.

1. First, I tapped the blue and yellow Brusho on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.

2. Next, I used a spritzer to wet the Brusho and kept spritzing until I got the look I wanted.

3.  After the card stock dried I used the swirl from the set called Star of Light.  I embossed it in silver and decided it did not show up enough, so I embossed a second time using white embossing powder making sure I placed the stamp a little bit lower the second time.

4. I finished by stamping the wizard, coloring him in with our Stampin Blends, and cutting him out the easy way with the matching framelit.
Such a fun card to make.

Come back tomorrow to see 3 cards were made similar by using the same template for each card.

Magical Day-Technique Tuesday

Have you ever tried the masking technique?  I have used it a few times but thought this card was really cute.  Now, at first I wondered where to start the masking and then I remembered the masking rule.

1. Stamp you image on a post it note and but it out. Make sure that the top of your stamp is on the sticky part of the post it note.

2. Stamp your first image at the front spot of the card stock.

3. Place the post it note on the top of the image and stamp again.

4. Stamp each image as much as you want making sure to apply the post it note on the last image you stamped.

5.  To finish off the card I stamped an extra dragon on scrap paper and color it in with Stampin blends.

Tomorrow, the card will be a WOW card and use the wizard stamp and some Brusho. Product List

Magical Day-Miscellaneous Monday

I made it!!!!  Electricity went out for several hours, recovering from a stomach bug and I still am able to get my blog entry for today online.  Yeah!!!

I can't wait to share the cards I have made using this fun stamp set.

Today's card uses items from the Myths and Magic suite from the Occasions catalog.

1. The designer paper is called Myths and Magic and has some sparkly stars in the background.

2. The Unicorn is stamped and cut out with a matching framelit.  I had to use some Wink of Stella on that cute little animal to make him sparkle also.

3. The saying came from the stamp set in the Annual catalog called You are Remarkable.  Wouldn't you agree that a Unicorn is remarkable?

4, The thin strip of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and the heart ad d the last bit of glimmer to the card.

Tomorrow I will share I card using the masking technique and the dragon from the stamp set.
