Happy Wishes-Sale a Bration

Does this look difficult to put together?  Well, it is very simple.  The Happy is one of the sale a bration stamp sets.  I just colored in the flowers at the bottom of the word to match the designer paper in the background.  I love the script of the word happy.  There is such variety of extra word to add to the word happy included in the set.

Here are a couple more sayings you can add to the word happy.  I used the rock and roll method to get the Melon Mambo ink on the top of the stamp.

Yes, there is another stamp like happy and this is the word best.  You are probably thinking this is quite the deal.  So this year in the Sale a Bration catalog they have included a couple items that you can earn with $100 in sales and this set is one of them.  Do you see the embossing folder called Petal Pair in the background.  I love the extra texture it gives to the background of this card.

Additional scripted word to add to the word best.  I added a silver doily and the butterfly embossing folder to this card.

And then there is Best Wishes.  I did not even feature all the sayings that are a part of this set.  For this card I added some vellum on top of a piece of the Petal Passion designer paper, and the branch from the Petals and More thinlit dies.

Are you ready for another set of cards from the Sale a Bration catalog.  Tomorrow I will feature cards made from the Sweet Soiree Memories and More card pack.  This card pack is great because not only can it be used in scrapbooking, but it can also be used in making very simple cards.

Epic Celebrations-Sale a Bration

At first when I saw this Sale a Bration set it did not appeal to me.  But, then I thought it reminded me of teenagers and then I thought that I have several teen aged grand kids that might like a card made with this set.

This first card was so simple.  I can see it made in a variety of colors, or even the template used for each stamp in the set.

This was one of my favorite cards.  I found a similar card on Pinterest and just changed up some things.  I love a card that is a collage.  It is hard to go wrong with a card like this.  Even if your stamping is not perfect the collage effect can cover little mistakes.  The background for the card is black card stock that did not show up real well on the black background paper.

Here you can see the gold filigree behind the guitar.  Kind of looks like the strings of the guitar.

This is another simple card that could be used for each one of the stamps.

I love how the Striped paper looks like the frets on a guitar.  It was cut from the True Gentleman designer paper.
This is another simple card that could feature each one of the stamp sets.  I love simple cards, don't you?

This card is my favorite that I made for my grandson Naij's half birthday. I have been notoriously late with birthday cards, but have vowed this year to do a better job.  I missed Naij's birthday last September so am sending him this card for his half birthday.  He designs sneakers so I thought this would be perfect for him.

My favorite go to card now is an eclipse card.  I try to think of something that the person enjoys and make a card using those stamps.  Can you see Naij's name on the card?

I think it shows up better here.  I hope he will have fun with his unexpected birthday card.

Tomorrow I will feature the Happy Wishes stamp set.  Come back to see the designs I made.

Heartfelt Blooms-Sale a Bration Week

Welcome to Sale a Bration week.  Today I am featuring the stamp called Heartfelt Blooms.  It is a single stamp that doesn't look like much until you stamp it and then WOW.  All sorts of wonderful flower images emerge.  Some tips...

1. I stamp detailed stamps like this upside down so I can see if I have inked the entire stamp.

2. Make sure you have a Stampin' Pierce mat underneath your stamp to get the full image.

3. Place a piece of scrap paper on top of the mat to make sure no ink gets on it.

If you follow these steps you should not have any trouble getting a wonderful image.

This next card was also simple.

1. Stamp the image on your card stock.

2. Cut the image into 3-4 sections.  I cut mine apart 1".

3. Attach to your base card leaving a tiny space between each section.

Card three was a fun way to highlight one part of the stamp.

1. After cutting out your card base, cut a layered piece of white card stock and stamp your image to the left hand side of the paper.

2. Cut a contrasting color the same size as the white card stock.  Emboss if you wish and punch a large circle on the left hand side of this card stock.

3. When you layer the two pieces one on top of the other you now have a spotlight.

This card features the stamp set using 2 colors. I tried each time I stamped to feature a different part of the stamp.  You do need to re-ink it each time or you can get a line on your stamped image where part of the ink was removed.

Today's final stamp using Heartfelt Blooms uses one color and the flowers stamped all around the edges of the card stock to create a delightful border.

What do you have to do to make this stamp your own?

1. Place an order of $50 and this can be your free item.

2. Sale a Bration the one time of the year you do not need to host a party to get free items, is still going on through the month of March.

Tomorrow I will feature another Sale a Bration stamp set called Lots of Lavender.  See the different ways that you can use that stamp set.

Picture Perfect Party designer paper-Miscellaneous Monday

Do you like to make a simple easy card?  Well, this card is very easy and here is why.

1. Most of the card is designer paper.

2. There is a simple saying on the card that can be cut out using the Big Shot.

3. A tiny little bow sets off the card.

This is one of the cards that will be featured in my Everything Birthday Card Cafe to be held on March 5th.  So, if you live anywhere near me sign up and come for a fun afternoon or evening.  Need more details, then contact me at sue.scheets@gmail.com.

Template Thursday-Brusho with Lots of Lavender

Can you guess which technique I used to create the background of this card?  If you guessed dry to wet, you are correct.

Stampin'Up! sells 5 Brusho colors.....
   Prussian Blue
   Yellow
   Moss Green
   Brilliant Red
   Gamboge (Looks orange to me)

Some of the colors have flecks of additional colors in them.  Check out the background of this card I posted a couple of weeks ago.

If you look closely at this color, it is green with some flecks of darker green or brown in it.

For the background of today's card I used Prussian Blue and Yellow and  when they mixed together in spots I got a deeper green.  It is great fun to see what happens when you mix colors together.

The stamp set on today's card is another set that is free to you with a $50 purchase.  I stamped the image in Black ink, and then colored it in with our Stampin' Blends.

So, if you purchase blends, water color paper, and  Brusho, you too would have enough $ to earn the Lots of Lavender stamp set for free. Sound like a great idea, then shop in my store.  Order the supplies that you will pay for first, then add the Sale a Bration stamp set.

Tomorrow, is the last day for my Brusho week.  Stop by and learn how you can actually water color paint with Brusho and create a wonderful background for the Waterfront stamp set.
