Winter Wishes

This stamp set Winter Wishes just jumped out of the Holiday Catalog as one of my favorites.  Here is what I like about the card.....

1. The Woodland embossing folder makes a subtle background to the card
2. The Snowflake Elements are a great accent which a slightly lighter color than the rest of the card.
3. The sled reminds me of the sleds we used when I was a kid
4. The monochromatic look to the card.

The other images in this set are a pair of skis, skates, snow shoe, pine bow and a pine cone.  This made a great card in my Christmas buffet class held at the first of the month.

How to emboss trees in the background

When I first saw a card similar to this on Pinterest I had not idea how the Lovely as a Tree stamp became part of the background of the card.  After researching I found out the how...

1. Find the raised background side of the embossing folder.  Stamp the pine tree image on these raised areas.

2. Emboss the cardstock.  Once embossed the stamped trees are in the background and the embossed trees are in the front.  Simple, but looks amazing.

This is how Jody finished her card.  Are you wondering where she got the cute deer that are peeking from behind the Perfect Pines?  She cut them from the Home from Christmas designer paper.  This is so adorable and that Jody is so creative.

Woodland Embossing Folder Scrapbook page

When I saw this layout on Rachel Tessman's blog I knew that I had to use it for my September layout.  One of the outstanding features of this layout is the use of the Woodlands Textured embossing folder.

Once the image was embossed, an ink pad was gently dragged over the embossed image.

The loops of gold cording and the Into the Woods elements add some great finishing touches.

The Vintage leaves and matching Leaflet framelits make great corner accents.

Thanks Rachel for such a great layout idea.

Woodland Textured embossing Folder

Fall is my favorite season and one of the things I love about fall is the colors of the leaves.  This card reminds me of what I love about fall.  It is one of the cards featured in my Holiday Catalog Open House. Here are the new items....

1. Woodland textured embossing folder.  It is a 6 inch square and will fit any direction on your big shot.

2. Among the Branches stamp set.  The leaves and the saying are from the set which also features Christmas and Halloween items.

I am excited to show off the new items from our Holiday catalog today and tomorrow 12-3.  It's not too late to decide to come.
