Put it together Friday-Batter Up Interlocking card

I love how this Batter Up Interlocking card turned out. Can you tell that I used some of the elements from the So Cool paper pumpkin kit on this card?

This next card is the first card I made featuring the Interlocking card.  A fellow Butterfly Friend taught us at our last Zoom meeting.  I had my supplies ready and was able to make the card with Cheryl.  Thanks Cheryl for such great directions and such a fun card to make.

I used supplies from the Flowering Cactus Product Medley.  This is still available from the January to June mini catalog.I love every part of it. already have the medley you can order the refill which will give you all the supplies except for the stamp and dies.

Step it up Thursday-using the Batter Up kit and Pansy Party Suite

Step it up Thursday is a lot of fun for me. Since this is paper pumpkin week the first set of cards I stepped up were using the Batter Up kit.
Since I am getting ready  for my next on line class and my new suite of the month, the second set is from the Pansy Party Suite.

Template of the week

Basic card made using parts from the Batter up kit.

Card has been stepped up by cutting one of the accent pieces in thirds, mounting it on card stock and staggering it a bit.

Final card uses the base accent pieces cut smaller, the baseball turned over and inked in Night of Navy.
Added a saying and some dots. I felt like the dots added a lot to this card.

Basic card, where the pansy and leaf are  cut out from the designer paper.

I stepped up the card by adding designer paper behind each strip and stamping the pansy. Oops I forgot to add the saying.

For the final card I added an embossed background, a saying on Pale Papaya card stock and a paper pieced pansy.

Such Fun!

This ends Paper Pumpkin week and another month.  Hard to believe isn't it.
Get ready for June where I will be featuring the Pansy Party suite, the Birds and Branches oldy but goody and the June paper pumpkin kit.

What is it Wednesday-Batter Up paper pumpkin week

What is it Wednesday?  Exploring the May paper pumpkin kit, Batter Up.

These first 3 cards were made exactly like the instructions showed me how to make them.

Once I made those 3 cards, then I had to get my creative juices flowing.  This next card was made using the template of the week.

I cut up some of the card fronts and the envelope flap to make this card.

When I first opened up my kit and saw the baseball bats, I immediately saw the work HI. Thus this card is the result.

For this next card I used last week's card of the week, the Lattice card.

For my final card so far, I recreated the club card of the week.  It is called the Double Z card.  It was fun to make.  Lots of steps, but easy to do if you take your time.

This is the cover after the card is tied up.  It will fit into a standard envelope.

The right side of the card looks like this and read
YOU ARE THE GREATEST FRIEND OF ALL TIME

The left side reads
ALL STAR FRIEND YOU'RE IN A LEAGUE OF YOUR OWN

And this is what the entire card looks like spread out.  I plan to send it to a special friend who happens to like baseball,

I still have more parts and cards  to use for more card ideas.

Check out this video where I show you what the new directions look like and make the 3 simple cards using the new directions.  Let me know what you think of them.

If you decide to join or rejoin paper pumpkin, be sure and  list my name as your demonstrator if you do not already have one.

Tomorrow is Step it Up Thursday, so come back to see how I step up my two samples from Monday.

Cut it out Tuesday-Interlocking card

Recently at a Butterfly Friends upline meeting Cheryl showed us how to make an interlocking card like this.  It was fun to make (have you noticed I think just about everything is fun) and easy.  The best kind of card.

Here are the supplies you will need to have ready to make this card on Friday.

1.A card base of 5.5 x 8.5.  Score at one end at 2 1/8.  Don't try to score both ends I will teach you an easy way to make sure the two fronts meet.

2. A contrast card stock that measures 1.5 x 4.25. You will need two of these.

3.Designer paper #1 cut 2 x 5 3/8. You will need two of these. This will coordinate with your card base color.

4. Designer paper #2 cut 1 3/8 x 4 1/8.  You will need two of these and they should coordinate with your contrast card stock.

5. Sayings and accent pieces.

6. Inside neutral unless your card is already a neutral.

Now you are set to learn how to put this card together on Friday.

Here are the supplies I used on my sample of the card of the week.

Come back Friday with your supplies and make your card at 10:30 when I have a Facebook Live or at 6:30 for a Zoom.  My card I will be making at 10:30 will be using supplies from the Batter Up paper pumpkin kit.

Tomorrow I will be sharing the May paper pumpkin kit and show you some of the changes that have been made.  Good ones I think.

Make it Simple Monday-Batter Up week

Make it Smple Monday is back.  Today I will be using supplies from the May Paper Pumpkin kit called Batter Up.  This is paper pumpkin week, so at least one card  I feature will be using supplies from that kit.  I love doing this.  It helps me think outside the box with the cards I made from the kit.

Here is the template for the week.  It is a great one that allows for a lot of creative interpretation.

Here is the card that I made using the supplies from Batter Up.  I like to cut apart the card fronts and envelopes to give me extra pieces to play with.

I also created a card using the suite I will be featuring in June.  Pansy Petals is going to be a fun suite to feature.  It has great stamps, lots of dies to create the layers of a pansy and designer paper with pansy that can be cut out with the dies.  The extra fun thing about this suite is the colors are some of the new colors.
