Make it Simple Monday-using Pansy Petal Suite and a template

A new week and a new template.  A simple card is a great way to start off the week.

The great thing about a template is that is can start your creative juices flowing.  Today's template made me think of 9 shapes organized in rows.

The next thing I thought of was what to put in place of the shapes and I decided designer paper would be a great thing to put into 9 shapes.  It would be a great way to show off the Pansy Petal designer paper, many designs at once.

Finally, I decided I wanted my shapes to be squares so I could put the saying at the bottom.  I also wanted to place one of the cut out pansies in the center.  That is how my mind worked with this week's template.

Make it Simple Monday-Flowering Cactus

I hope you all had a great weekend.  Are you ready for a new template and a new simple card?

Here is our template for the week.  Looks pretty simple to me.  It will be fun to figure out how to step it up.

This week I chose to use one of the stamp sets of the month.  This one is called Flowering Cactus.  I will be making all my cards this week using the stamps, dies, and designer paper.

I used 3/4 inch strips of 3 different designer papers to make my strips.  Of course, I needed a saying.  So I cut out one of the dies using Mint Macaron card stock and stamped the saying in the middle.  It does not get any simpler than that.

Make it Simple Monday-Snail Mail Suite

Here we are again with Make is Simple Monday and a new card template.

It looks pretty simple to me how about you?

And here is how I made my simple card using supplies from the Snail Mail suite of the month.

Are you wondering where I got the stamp for the saying You've got mail?

This is what the stamp set looks like when you open up the case.

Since I just wanted the saying, I carefully cut it from the rest of the stamp.  Now I can use it separately or together.  Consider cutting apart any other stamps you might have with two parts.

Isn't this a simple template?  Try it yourself and share your creation.

Make it Simple Monday-Snail Mail Suite

Are you ready for a new week, a new month, and a new Suite of the Month and a new template.

This is a pretty simple looking template don't you agree?  I had a lot of fun figuring out how I would create a card using this template.

I knew I wanted to use the Snail Mail suite for the card.  To make it simple I decided to just focus on the designer paper. This card will focus on the mushrooms. This card looks so good as a simple card I don't know how I will step it up.  HMM Check back on Thursday to see what I decide to do.

Make it Simple Monday-Ice Cream Corner Suite

Good Morning! Are you ready for another simple card template?

Here it is.  I challenge you to make a card using this template and post it below on this page.

Here is how I interpreted this template.

1. First, I chose Purple Posy as my background paper since it is one of the colors that is in the designer paper.

2. Next, I made my strip using 1 inch of the diagonal designer paper.

3. Then, I punched out a small circle from the cone design.

4. Finally,  with the oval punch I found an ice cream cone I liked and punched it out.

5. The last thing I did was to find a saying to use.  I figure this card can work for just about any reason I might want to send a card.

These are the supplies I used.

Don't forget to post your sample of this card template.  And your prediction, will my hair be straight or curly after my trim.

Make it Simple Monday

How easy will it be to make a simple card from this template for the week!

This week I am featuring the March Paper Pumpkin kit called Here's to You.

1. The card base is one of the card bases from the kit.  The color is Pretty Peacock.

2. The strip across the card is from cutting up one of the envelope liners.

3. The flowers are stamped with one of the stamps that are a part of the kit.

4. Finally the saying is stamped on a scrap from the second card, and stamped in Peacock ink.

That sure was simple wasn't it.

Tomorrow I will be giving cutting instructions for card #53  My first card for year 2.  It will be another card that uses one inch strips of designer paper.

Make it Simple Monday using Ice Cream Corner designer paper

Another week is here.  At least in Illinoi we are having some wonderful spring weather.  I am a little worried that winter has not completely left us.

I love starting the week out with a new template and a Simple card.

So the template this week looks pretty straight forward.  Rectangles and a strip of cardstock.

Here is my take on this template.  I am featuring the Ice Cream Corner Suite this month. For my simple card I just used the designer paper that shows the soft cone ice cream.  I actually used both sides of the paper.  Don't you love how both sides go so well together.

Thursday I will be stepping up this card.  Think about how you would step up this card and see if our ideas match.

Tomorrow I will share the cutting instructions for the card of the week.  This will actually be card 51.  Hard to believe I started these videos almost 1 year ago.
