Step it Up Thursday using the April paper pumpkin kit

One of my favorite things to do is try and figure out how to step up a card.

This is the template of the week.  Very simple and a great way to make a simple card.

I used a cut up envelope from the So Cool paper pumpkin kit to make my curvy shape.  My any kind of shape is the popsicle from the kit.  I did cut the popsicle in half and added it to a card base.

Here's how I stepped up my simple card from Monday.

1. I added a background from the Ice Cream Corner designer paper.
2. I popped up the popsicle using dimensionals.
3. I made some loops with the twine.
4. I popped up the saying.

Can you tell how I popped the card up even more?

1. I tied the twine around the popsicle.
2. I used the stamparatus to stamp one saying over and over for background.
3. I added a silver medallion on the back of the saying.

What is it Wednesday-So Cool paper pumpkin kit

Have you gotten the So Cool paper pumpkin kit yet?
I like to make 1 card of each sample, and then create some of my own.

After I punched out the silver medallions, I looked at what was left over and added some cut outs from the designer paper in each window.

This is a simple card I made from the template of the week.  Thursday I will be stepping this card up a couple of times.

I stamped the saying in several of the colors that were featured in this set and then added the stickers and some twine that is included in the kit.

These two cards are made using the card of the week as my sample.  I think this will be for my grandson's 16th birthday.

Here is another frame leftover from punching out the silver rectangles.

This is the card I made from the video showing how to create this saying with my Stamparatus.

Make it Simple Monday-So Cool Paper Pumpkin

It is time for a new template and simple card.  Are you ready?

This is the template for the week.  I love the idea of the curvy line.  This will be fun.

For my simple card I made it really simple.

1. I cut apart one of the envelopes in the paper pumpkin kit and cut a wavy line in my cut out piece.

2. I cut one of the cards in the kit in half and used the popsicle as my shape.

3. Finally, I used one of the tags to stamp on the saying.

4. I used a strip from the envelope for my inside and for my envelope.

Now, for the fun of figuring out how to step it up for Thursday.

These next simple cards are ones I made for the ladies that live at the assisted living in town. I was so glad when the activity director contacted me about coming back and having monthly classes once again.  I have been fully vaccinated and so have the ladies.  I still wore my mask.

Cut it out Tuesday-Zig Zag quilt card card 56

My daughter Debbie came for a visit in March during her spring break as a 4th grade teacher.  We put together this quilt top for her daughter's bed.  I love the colors that Gracie picked out for her quilt don't you.  It was a simple design that was easy to put together. After it was finished I thought to myself that I could put together a card like this.  So........

I used some of the pieces I had from the March paper pumpkin kit and looked at the photo of the quilt and came up with this design.  What do you think?

Here are the supplies you need to gather and then you can make your own zig zag quilt card with me on Friday.

1. Card base 5.5 x 8.5

2. Coordinating card stock cut 4 x 4

3. Neutral card stock which will not show 3.75 x 3.75

4.3 different designer paper colors each one cut into 12 pieces that measure 1/2 x 1 inch.

5. Ribbon

6. Saying and embellishments
