Holiday Catalog Open House-Thanksgiving card

I found this card designed by Mary Fish on Pinterest and loved it.  It features another favorite of mine from the Holiday catalog, the Christmas Pines stamp set which can be bundled up with the Pretty Pines Thinlits.  Notice how this is captioned as a Thanksgiving card.  Don't let the title of the stamp set restrict you.

Come back tomorrow to see a Christmas card that you will be able to make at my Open House.  Can't make the open house but would love to purchase this bundle.  Then, go to my shop now button at the top of the page, and place me Sue Scheets as your demonstrator and that bundle will be yours.

Holiday Catalog Open House-Halloween

Last week I featured the Jar of Love stamp set, one of my favorites.  So, when I saw the Jar of Haunts in the Holiday catalog I knew It would be mine.

I found these darling treat holders on Pinterest displayed by Nancy Endwright.  The are small but can hold at least 2 Hershey Treasures.  I can see myself making quite a few of these to hand out in classes during October.

You can make one for yourself by coming to my Holiday Open House on Friday, September 16th at 6:30 PM or Saturday, September 17th at 12:30.

This week I will be featuring one of the items you will be able to make at the open house.

Come back tomorrow to see a Thanksgiving card we will make designed by Mary Fish.

Technology Conquered

In the past few days I have learned about "the Cloud', how to add to the cloud, that things can disappear if you do not have enough cloud, and how to get more cloud.  In the process I was finally able to create my next video "How to Make a Shaker Card"  Check it out here.

Jar of Love-Fancy Friday

Where is the Jar if this is the Jar of Love stamp set?  I found some really cute cards that did not use the jar at all.  Check back to Wednesday's WOW card, and how about this card using the fish.

Then there is this wild card that inspired me.  The blog is called dutch stamping.  The language must be dutch, but the card style is universal.  I liked the how different this card was from most of what I do.

Of course I found oodles more cards I loved using the Jar of Love set.  Maybe I'll have to do a rerun some time if I run out of stamps to feature.  LOL that will never happen.

A rerun of the week.  Come back next week and I will feature some more Halloween cards made with my new purchases from the Holiday catalog and some old favorites.  Till then, enjoy your weekend and have fun stamping.

Jar of Love-Template Thursday

I am in love with Shaker Cards.  They are so easy with the supplies that Stampin'Up! has now in their catalog.  Foam Adhesive Strips, Window sheets and lots of accessories to have shake around. My latest youtube video shows you the steps you need to take to make any kind of a shaker card.

This weeks template is
      Jar
Something to shake inside the jar
      Background to complement the jar

This first jar is actually its own shaker element that has been added to the card background. The elements inside the jar are the neutral sequins.

The second jar has been cut out of the designer paper.  The hearts inside the jar were made with the Confetti Hearts border punch.

This final jar was made using the Halloween set that coordinates with Jar of Love.  It is called Jar of Haunts and can be found in the new Holiday catalog.  I couldn't resist putting googlie eyes inside the jar.  However as I shook the card they turned over and do not look like eyes at all.  The Black drip hanging over the jar is from the new stamp set called Ghoulish Grunge.

Come back tomorrow and see ways to use the Jar of Love set that do not include a jar.
