Fun Friday-Rich Regals class

Friday, March 15th I will be holding a Rich Regals card class.  Anyone attending will be making 9 cards.  They will use every single Regal color in the cards.  Can you tell how many Regal colors are in this card?  Comment with your answer and I will send you one of the cards from this class.

Monday March 11th is the last day to RSVP with the lowest price of $25.  If you let me know after Monday you want to attend the class there will be an extra $5 fee.  Check out the class description in more detail at my website. www.sushi.stampinup.net.

Come back Monday after what we hope will be a change in weather here in Illinois.  I will be sharing cards made with the Painted Season items in the Sale a Bration brochures.

Find some time to stamp,

Petal Palette Bundle-Petals and More Thinlits Dies

Don't you love how dainty this branch is?  It is one of the 10 thinlits that are part of the Petals and More thinlit dies.  What I love about this set of thinlits, is that some of them cut out the stamps, but there are several extra thinlits that can be accent pieces.

Did you know when you look at a stamp set in a catalog if the image has a grey area around the outside of it, it can be cut out with a matching thinlit?  I love a set where you can cut out your stamp with a thinlit instead of having to use a pair of scissors.

This bundle has two options, wood-mount or clear.  Which ever option you might choose, you will be able to choose your favorite Sale a Bration set.  What a deal!

Tomorrow I will share a great technique I tried called the drip technique.

Cafe Card Creations- Painted harvest Bundle

Can you see the word Fall kind of jump out of this card?  This is created using a technique called the Eclipse Technique.  I think it was named that because you can see a tiny bit of the Early Espresso under each letter.

You might wonder how this is created.

1. First you take your top layer and stamp all over it with whatever stamp you want to use.

2. Next you think of a word you would like to emphasize on the card.  Use the Large Letter Framelits or something similar to cut out your word.  Save all pieces even the insides of the A in my card.

3. Attach adhesive strips to each letter and then place it back in the card.  It will be easy to replace because of your stamping.  Do not put adhesive strip on your inside pieces (like on my A). These will be glued on top of the card base.

Now you have a great looking card that was so much easier to make than it looks.  I hope you will try to make an Eclipse card of your own.  I would love it if you attached a photo in the comment section of this blog.

Tomorrow's card will feature the designer paper for a very simple but great looking card.
