Christmas Pines redu Miscellaneous Monday

Last week was a week of technology issues.  I hope they are resolved and I can keep up with my blog this week.  I have decided to try another week with this lovely stamp set Christmas Pines.

Today I just used the stamps and they are as cool as the thinlits.  The pinecone can be a two step stamp.  I stamped the solid image in Crumb Cake, and the actual seed part of the cone in Chocolate Chip.  I might have chosen that particular brown because I made chocolate chip cookies last night and had them on my mind.

The branches are made with Garden Green and Always Artichoke.  The card is called a Z fold and will most likely be the topic of my next you tube video.

Check back tomorrow when I show you a technique I used with some of the leftovers from cutting out branches with the thinlits.

Christmas Pines-Miscellaneous Monday

I loved this set as soon as I saw it in the Holiday Catalog.  The feathery leaves were what drew me to the set.  This card was one featured at my Holiday Catalog Open House this past weekend.  I found it on Pinterest and it was designed by one of my favorites.....Mary Fish.  Don't you love that this Christmas set can be used for other than Christmas?

Come back tomorrow to see a technique I used with the left overs.

holiday Catalog Open House- Kits

The  first kit that you will be able to make a card from is called Stitched with Cheer.  There are 3 cards to choose from.  When I made up the stamples I realized these were no where near as hard to sew and I though they might be.

Here you stitch around the center star.  There is a paper provided to cover over your stitches so no one can see the working part of the card.

Have trouble threading a needle, well, a needle threader and two needles with big eyes are provided.  SU thinks of everything.

So which one is your favorite?

Holiday Catalog Open House-Christmas card

Have you figured out what is new on this card?

1. Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder  This embossing folder is amazing.  It is extra thick and only needs one cutting plate to emboss. When you are finished it looks as thick as a cable knit sweater does.  Love it!

2. The bows are from Pretty Pines thinlits, both sizes one on top of the other.

3. The saying from the set called Christmas Pines.  I wanted several colors in the saying and when I used markers on the back of the stamp they did nor turn out like I wanted.  So, I stamped the saying 3 times one in each different color and then cut and pasted.  I was happy with my final product.

4. The ribbon is from the Candy Cane bakers twine set.  It is white with metallic red thread twisted together.

Come back tomorrow to see the kits that will be on display.  Each person coming to the Open House will get to make one card, one tag and one decoration for a tree. Bring a friend and receive a gift certificate for product.

Holiday Catalog Open House-Christmas Card

How many items from the Holiday catalog are featured in this card?

1. The Holly Berry Happiness stamp set and matching punch called Holly Berry Builder punch.

2. Merry Christmas from the Forever Evergreen stamp set

3. Designer paper from the Presents and Pinecones paper set

You might wonder about the Holly embossing folder.  Well, it is actually from the annual catalog.  Something I missed the first time I looked through the catalog.

Come back tomorrow to see another Christmas card that features more new items from the Holiday catalog.
