What is it Wednesday-gold laser-cut specialty paper

Today  is What is it Wednesday.  I let you know each Wednesday about an item in the catalog you might have overlooked. Today I am focusing on the Forever Gold Laser-Cut specialty paper in the annual catalog.  It can be found on the bottom of page 152.  It is a retiring item, and is on sale for $12 until supplies last.

In addition the the laser cut paper, I chose the Artistry Blooms designer paper.

First I  I used 1 sheet of each design.

2. Next I took one of each of the sheets of designs from the laser cut paper.

3. I used the embree side of the designer paper and matched the items up to my liking.

Finally, I added a tiny strip of the designer paper that I will place my saying on.

Cut it out Tuesday-Easy Swing Fold Card card#56

My friend Robin Armbrecht whose site is called ReallyRobinStamps.com recently showed how to make the card I am featuring this week.

Here are the cutting directions.

1. Card base 5.5 x8.5 scored at 4.25 and 2 1/8

2. 6 by 6 designer paper

3. nesting dies, any shape

4. White card stock to cut out 3 of the smaller shape

5. A device to cut the designer paper

6. A die cutting machine

This is what the card looks like card looks like before it is opened.

And this is what is on the other side of the swing fold. Lots of fun to open and lots of fun to make.

Make it Simple Monday-Snail Mail Suite

Here we are again with Make is Simple Monday and a new card template.

It looks pretty simple to me how about you?

And here is how I made my simple card using supplies from the Snail Mail suite of the month.

Are you wondering where I got the stamp for the saying You've got mail?

This is what the stamp set looks like when you open up the case.

Since I just wanted the saying, I carefully cut it from the rest of the stamp.  Now I can use it separately or together.  Consider cutting apart any other stamps you might have with two parts.

Put it together Friday-One inch strip card #6

Can you believe it is already Friday?  It is time to put together the card of the week.This is the last in the series of 1 inch strip cards inspired by Jackie Bohluis.  And this is card number 55.

For this first card I used the designer paper and the stamps from the Snail Mail Suite which is the suite of the month.

My next card uses parts of the Paper Pumpkin kit for March.

In case you missed seeing this card on Tuesday I used the Butterfly Brilliance collection to make it.

For this last card I used the December paper pumpkin kit. 

With 1 inch strips to make your cards you can go on and on because they are so quick and easy. Ill consider any of these 1 inch strip templates any time I need to make a quick card.

Step it Up Thursday-Snail Mail Suite

Today is Step it Up Thursday.  I know I've said it before but I think it is so much fun to take a simple card and step it up.  So here are my examples.

Card one is my simple card that I made on Monday from this week's template.

Can you see how I changed and stepped up this card.

1 Added one more center strip.

2.Rounded the corners of my center card stock.

3. Added a vellum shape.

3. Added 2 more mushrooms to the center.

4. Cut out the saying and popped it up.

Now for my really stepped up card.

1. Stamped, embossed and scored the image in the center,

2. Add 2 more conversation cut outs.

3 Added 3 little resin hearts on the lower corn.
