Doesn't the shading make this flower look even more spectacular than just coloring it with markers? I used 2 shades of Stampin Blends and the color lifter. When I watched the videos about the Blends, I learned that you could intentionally remove some color as a part of the shading. I did so in the center of this flower.
The stamp set called Remarkable You is great for shading. There are 4 bold outline images in this set that make it easy to use these wonderful new markers. I plan to use this card as my swap at the OnStage event I will be attending in Salt Lake City in a couple of week.
Tomorrow I will feature a set called In This World. It is a favorite of mine, but not used very often. The Blends worked really well to color in one of the images in this set.

Stampin' Blends-Just Add Color designer paper
Have you heard about the new markers called Stampin Blends? They are available for purchase starting Wednesday November 1. As a demonstrator I was able to purchase them October 1 and have had fun using them since they arrived.
One of the designer papers is called Just Add Color. There are 6 different black and white designs that are perfect for coloring and look really great with the Stampin Blends.
There are 12 colors with 2 shades for each color. In addition there are 2 skin tone markers that can be used in several different ways to make a variety of shades of skin color.
The final blend is called a color lifter and works well if you make a mark way outside the line.
I went through my stamp sets and looked for ones that would work great with these markers. Come back tomorrow to see what I did with the set called Remarkable You.

Halloween Week-Faux Metal Tehnique
You might wonder about the bat. We used to have a bat punch but that is not where the bat came from. It is a party of the Seasonal Chums bundle.
I have to say it was a lot of fun creating these cards this week, and I feel good to be able to say I have used every single stamp that featured Halloween this year.
Next week I will be sharing cards I have made with our brand new Stampin' Blends. I love to color and these markers made it so much fun and so easy. Come back a check them out.

Halloween Week-Spooky Night
The cat, the tree brand, the pumpkin, and the paper on the lower part of the card are all from the designer paper.
The window and pumpkin are cut out using the big shot.
The cat and the saying are cut out with punches.
Not much easier than that. I could easily make this card for each one of my 11 grand children.
Tomorrow I am going to feature a Sushi Original. I did not go to Pinterest for the idea, just used a Faux metal card base I made with my downline a month ago. Intrigued, come back tomorrow to check it out.

Halloween Week-Spooky cat
For some reason I love pictures and figurines of cute little mice. Now, I would have to say that the mouse in this set looks a lot more like a rat to me than a cute little mouse. But, when I saw this card sample on Pinterest, I knew I had to recreate it. It is so darn cute. It was shared as a sample from lisastampstudio.com.
1. Stamp your images on the Wood Textures designer paper used as background paper. I laid the wood pieces where I wanted to them to be able to place the images on the background paper.
2. Emboss this piece using the Pinewood Plank embossing folder.
3. Stamp the lined stamp from the Spooky Cat stamp set over and over to get the wooden look on the planks. I worried about overlapping the stamp but it looked great whatever I did.
4. Assemble and use the black rhinestones as nails.
You have nailed this card!
Come back tomorrow to see a card I made using primarily designer paper with very little stamping. Fast and Easy!

Halloween Week-Festive Phrases
This card features the stamp set called Festive Phrases. It is another set that has sayings for 4 seasons. I plan to make a card for each season patterned after this card. Mary Fish is the designer and I just love her simple, but elegant style.
Designer paper is from the Spooky Night batch. That paper is great to use for more than Halloween. One side of the paper is most definitely Halloween, but turn it over and it is not. Black, Orange and Vanilla can be used for a variety of occasions.
Tomorrow I will feature I design I found on Pinterest that features the Spooky Can set in a very different way. Check it out.

Halloween Week-Merry Cafe
Just for fun I looked through all my stamp sets and found ones that had Halloween Features. I really enjoy using stamp sets that can be used for more than one season, or Holiday.
Today's set is called Merry Cafe and coordinates with the Coffee Cafe framelits.
The background is the Spooky Night Designer paper. I also cut the hat out of a sheet of the designer paper that was a series of hats.
Don't you love the saying! There are also sayings for Fall, Christmas, New Years and Valentine's Day. Quite a versatile set.
Tomorrow I will feature a card made with the set Festive Phrases. Come back and check out a simple card to make.

November Card Cafe-Thank you gift
Have you made anything with these cute Pizza Boxes yet? They are easy to assemble and will hold lots of little things. This is the Thank You for RSVPing gift people will make in my November Card Cafe. I am thinking some Dove chocolate will fit nicely inside.
Has this week gotten you excited about the Pick a Pumpkin bundle?

November Card Cafe-Pick a Pumpkin bundle
Do you see where the copper is used as an accent on this card?
The pumpkin outline in the back and one of the leaf branches are made using Copper Foil.
The branch on the left side of the card was embossed using copper embossing powder.
And notice the work Autumn. I used the letters from the set called Labeler Alphabet. I did not have a stamp with the word Autumn and was wondering what I could do , when I remembered this alphabet. I love how it looks on this card.
Check out the blog blogloven.com to see this card and additional card creations.
I have shown you the 4 designs that anyone coming to my card cafe in November will be creating. Each person will make two cards for each design with a total of 8 cards. When someone RSVP's by October 23rd they will be able to make what I am showing you tomorrow as a thank you gift. Come back and see.

November Card Cafe-Pick a Pumpkin
When I looked at Pinterest, this card jumped off the page for me. It was created by Dawn from dostampers.typepad.com.
Colors used, Soft Suede, Crumb cake, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso.
Not a bit of orange but an elegant card.
I love the wreath that was made using the new Jute twine.
And the touch that makes a card for me is the background. In this case the Pinewood Plank 3D dynamic embossing folder was used and really stands out.
Did you know if you lightly spray water on the card stock before embossing your image will stand out even more?
Did you know that these embossing folders are so thick that you only need to use one cutting pad to emboss them?
Tomorrow I will share a card that uses the Copper Foil to add some extra to the card.

November Card Cafe Creations-Pick a Pumpkin bundle
Fall makes me think of Thanksgiving. This is the year that all my kids gather with their families on Thanksgiving so I am really looking forward to that time together. I have been thinking of different ways to decorate the table with stamping.
Do you recognize the background paper on this card? It is the reverse side of the Halloween designer paper called Spooky Night. I love that this paper can be used even longer than Halloween.
The pumpkin in this card is one of the thinlits that is included in the bundle without a matching stamp.
If you have not started using the adhesive sheets, this is a great card in which to start using them. I backed a long sheet of card stock with the adhesive to make it easy to attach this skinny little pumpkin onto the finished card.
The card for tomorrow uses neutral colors and makes a different kind of a Fall card.

November Card Cafe-Pick a Pumpkin
Fall is one of my favorite seasons. How about you? The Pick a Pumpkin set is perfect for all kinds of fall cards. I love sets that have stamps that can be cut out with framelits and thinlits and this set is a favorite. There are several thinlits that are additional to the stamps in the set. I am featuring this bundle in my November Card Cafe.
Today's card is quite simple and inspired by a card shown on melsinkyfingers.com
Card stock- Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, and Painted Autumn Designer paper
Ink- Perfect Pumpkin, Early Espresso
Copper Trim
Everyday Labels Punch
I wanted some early espresso card stock behind my saying so I punched a label out and then cut it in half to back my saying. Easy and got the look that I wanted.
Tomorrow I will share a card I made for Thanksgiving.

Merry Patterns-Deer
When I saw the deer in the Merry Patterns stamp set it was the only part of the stamp that I was not sure of. But, I found this great card posted by Marion Stempelt and loved the way the deer looked.
Colors-Early Espresso, Soft Sky
Wood Textures Designer paper
Layering Ovals Framelits
Delicate White Doilies
I love the wood look of the background and how the paint looks scraped off and the wood shows underneath.
Tomorrow I will share a card that shows how parts of this stamp set can be used for other than Christmas.

Merry Patterns-Tis the Season Simple card
Doesn't this look like a simple card to make? I think that is one of the reasons I decided to feature it. Check out this website to see if there are more simple cards to create. badabingcrafting@blogspot.com
This stamp set is great because it is two part stamping. First, you stamp the outline in Basic Black and then the green fills in the outline of the word season. Very easy to place properly.
Paper- Christmas Around the World designer paper, real red Emerald Envy, and Whisper White card stock
Thinlit- Lovely Laurel, Layering Ovals
Ink- Basic black, Emerald Envy
Tomorrow I will share a simple card with a WOW factor.

Merry Patterns-Candles
1. It is pretty simple to create.
2. The embossing folder Winter Wonder is a favorite.
3. The candles are so easy to stamp. They are a 2 step stamp. First you stamp the outline in a dark color. Then the candles are stamped with two separate stamps which is how you can stagger the colors.
You might wonder how I got the garland behind the candles. I did not stamp them first but last. I created a mask, by stamping the candles on a post it note, then placed the note over the stamped image and then stamped the pine bough. When I took off the post it note the garland was behind the candles.
This week I am featuring the Merry Patterns stamp set which is available free with a $300 minimum order. If you don't want to place an order for that much, then get some friends to order and when all the orders total $300 you have earned the set as one of your hostess benefits. Check with me if you have any questions, or would like to book a party. We can make some of the cards I am featuring this week at the party so everyone can have a chance for a hands on experience.
Tomorrow I will show off a very simple card made with this set.

Eclipse card-Dragonfly Dreams
When I made this card I was thinking of a family member who is raising bees and what fun it would be to put them on a card that I could send to her.
So, have you been thinking of some of the words you could use on an eclipse card?
Use the word YOU but stamp other word to go with it like Happy Birthday to...
Create a card and instead of letters use numbers to depict the person's age, especially if it is a special age. My friend Robin made one for a grandmother turning 100.
Place deer on a card and use the word HUNT for a man that loves to hunt.
Use the person's name or nick name if they have a long name.
Happy
Hello
Smile
Good
I am sure that you could make an even longer list. Have fun trying your own eclipse card.
Come back next week to see samples made with the Merry Patterns stamp set, a set you can have free by having a home party or private order that totals at least $300.

Eclipse card-Night in Bethlehem
I found an example of this card on Pinterest and fell in love with it. The city of Bethlehem is faintly stamped in the background.
One of the great things about stamping your background before cutting out your letters is that it is so easy to place your letters correctly into the slot. The stamping makes it easy to line them up. In case there are multiple letters like the word Fall, it is still quite easy to line up the letters.
You can pop up your letters with anything you have on had, but the easiest thing to use are the foam adhesive strips. The are just the right width to fit any of the letters.
My favorite letters to use are the Large Letter Framelits from the annual catalog. They are $99. If you have a bunch of friends over for a party and the party can total $450 or more you can purchase them half price.
Better yet, if you join my team you can purchase them as part of your start up bundle. You are able to order $125 worth of supplies for just $99. Contact me if you are interested in joining the Super Snails.
Tomorrow is my last card showing the Eclipse technique.

Eclipse card-Cat punch
Do you see the change I made to the eclipse card?
1. Instead of stamping my background, I just used a piece of designer paper, the one called Spooky Night.
2. I cut the word Boo out of the background piece and another paper from the Spooky night designer paper series.
3. The cat is not stamped, but cut out with the cat punch from one side of the same designer paper pack.
I had a leftover boo from the background paper so.....
I punched out some cards from the designer paper creating my own background, then attached the boo on top.
Tomorrow I will show you the Night in Bethlehem card I made using this great technique.

Eclipse card-Spooky Cat
My downline group called the Super Snails had our monthly meeting on Saturday. I demonstrated the eclipse technique to them and we each created a card or two using that technique.
Jody used the Spooky cat stamp set and cut out the word DARE. I love the end result how about you.
Four letter words work the best for Eclipse cards, but if you squeeze the letters together you can get 5 letter words. I have also seen samples where a rectangular picture frame was used for much longer words.
I am thinking of making a Christmas, Halloween, or even one that says Scheets, our last name.
Once you have tried the technique it is hard to stop.
I will show you a couple of cards I made that featured the cat punch.

Eclipse Cards-Snowflake Sentiments
1. First, stamp you images on a plain piece of card stock, I used Whisper White for this card.
2. Then cut out your saying, what better word than Snow, for a snowflake card.
3. Save all parts even the inside of the O. Glue the remaining card stock piece onto your card base and set aside.
4. Place foam adhesive strips on the wrong side of each letter, but not the inside of the O.
5. Now replace each letter into its spot and you will notice that all the stamped images line up perfectly.
6. Put some adhesive on the back of the little piece from the O and stick it inside the O with your scissor tip or a piercing tool.
It is called an eclipse card because you can see part of the base of the card on the side of each letter.
It is so much easier to make than you think when you look at the end result.
Tomorrow I will show you an eclipse card my downline Jody made at our last meeting using the stamp set Spooky Cat.
