Magical Day-Friday Fun

What is your first impression of this card?  Mine was, "This is so cute, I bet Gracie would love it for her birthday." So I looked at how to create it.  I watched a video that Patty Bennett posted and then was ready to go.  It is so much simpler than it looks.

1. Cut the castle from a 3 by 10.5 piece of Smoky Slate card stock. Score at 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 inches.

2. Emboss using the brick embossing folder and sponge using Basic Grey ink.

3. Cut out desired figures from the Myths and Magic designer paper.  This paper is great because there are sparkly parts of one side of each piece.

4. Make the turrets and the top of the castle using the classic label punch.

5. Fold on the scoring lines.  You will have a small 1/2 inch piece that will hold the castle together.  Place tear and tape adhesive along that strip and bring it to the inside to make the castle.

6. Finally, attach your figures where you want them.  The girl is actually a mermaid, so most of her body will be on the inside of the castle.

The handsome knight is preparing to rescue the princess.....

.......from the scary dragon hiding around the corner.

The great thing about this card is that it will fold on two of the score lines and easily fit in an envelope.

Hasn't this been a great week.  I almost did not purchase this suite, but am so glad I did.

Next week will be Sale a Bration week.  Each day I will feature cards made with the Sale a Bration items.
