Painting on a Block- Wednesday WOW

You can never learn enough different techniques in my opinion.  The background on the insert on this card was made using one of my acrylic blocks.  Don't you love it when you can find new uses for old items!

1. Color the block with markers

2. Gently spray a little bit of water over the block.

3. Place a piece of cardstock, I used Whisper White, on top of the block and press.

When you lift the paper off of the block you will find a great background for whatever stamp you want to use.

Supplies used:

Woodgrain embossing folder
Crumb Cake, Pool Party, and Whisper White card stock
Burlap Ribbon
Wetlands, and Yippee Skippee stamp sets
Essentials Wooden Elements

Back to the drawing board for some new background techniques.
